Hope Opens Doors is a non-profit formed to provide a safe and secure way to directly fund the Mother's Welfare Group in Northern Nigeria led by Kathryn Barrera.The program provides support to children in Nigeria whose basic needs are not being met. The program provides for some of the most vulnerable children and women in the country, including the many internally displaced persons as the result of the violence happening in the country at this time. Because of the destruction of the crops there is now also a famine and food is becoming scarce and expensive.  Our focus at this time is food, school supplies, trauma counseling, clothing and medical care.  Any amount of help you can give makes a huge difference in the lives of the children in the program.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of Hope Opens Doors is to provide monetary and physical support for Mothers Welfare Group a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care to children whose basic needs are not being met and are often overlooked. Mothers Welfare Group Primarily serves clients located in rural Northern Nigeria.

• Free school for disabled children including vocational training

• Curriculum enhancement for over 5000 primary school students

• Home based care services

Mothers Welfare Group has identified over 1000 children and adults with previously untreated epilepsy in rural areas of Northern Nigeria.
